Why learn with the Blue Crew

Our team of dive professionals has one goal in mind, your success, but our goal is to do it in as fun a way as possible.  Yes, in this PADI Open Water Diver course, there are lots of skills we have to accomplish, but our mission is to make sure you are having the most fun possible while learning all the skills and safety protocols along the way.  Our unique and talented group of PADI professionals know just the right approach for each and every new diver, building your skills to earn that license to explore the seas the world over.

And for the reason stated above, our confined water program is specifically designed for your success.  We have 3 separate and distinct water sessions throughout the weekend.   Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.  For years we have run a 2 day program, and we just don't like it, it is just too rushed.  We don't feel it gives the student diver the best opportunity for success.   While we know everyone wants to complete things as quickly as possible, and we sometimes agree, the entry level course is not the program for that.

After recently implementing this 3 day program, we have heard nothing but excellent feedback from our customers regarding the relaxed pace, attention to detail and plenty of water time.  After all, its SCUBA, lets spend time in the water!

Description

Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI® Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

Course Components

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development ( eLearning or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving

  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills

  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

Equipment

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank.  Each diver is required to own their own set of Scuba quality Mask, Fins Snorkel and a surface marker buoy adequate for use in the environment they are diving in.  Blue Crew has an extensive inventory of gear meeting everyone's needs.  Schedule your gear fitting with one of our dive professionals to ensure proper and comfortable fit.  Nothing makes diving better than a properly fitting set of gear, especially your mask.  Take advantage of our 30 day in water fit guarantee for exchanges.
