Joe Leary- Master Scuba Diver Trainer
Scuba Diving is something that I have always interested in trying, while on vacation in Mexico I had a huge fail on a try dive experience. A year later my son went on vacation to Mexico with his grandparents. Upon his return he would not stop talking about his scuba diving experience in the pool. After learning that he could not get certified until he turned ten. I promised him that when he was old enough to take the course, I would pay for his certification. When he turned ten our new adventure began. My son and his Godfather and I (dive buddies) began our adventure into the world of scuba diving.
What I like most about scuba diving its something that I can do with my family and seeing the joy of the underwater world during and on the surface. I enjoy just getting into the water and blowing bubbles and enjoying the quit. I enjoy drift diving in Mexico and Florida. I would love to return to Cuba and dive there, it was my first clear water experience while I was in the USMC. I observed sea turtles and sharks.
I decided to take the next step in the scuba and become a professional because I love to help people and I have been training/coaching people all of my adult life. If it were not for the trainers that provided a great experience while continuing my scuba diving training, I would not have wanted to continued on. Those experiences made me want to be part of the team.
I am a 22 year Wilmington Police veteran. I enjoy doing adventure type sports to include: shooting, biking and kayaking.
