As a Philly native I spent a lot of time as a little kid fishing off the coast of New Jersey. I've always loved the water and wondered what was down below. My son and I got certified in 2018 to learn something new together where we'd both be complete novices. 

I enjoy boat diving in saltwater best and exploring the wrecks off the coast of North Carolina. There's a lot of history out there from both world wars and the water can be warm and blue thanks to the Gulf Stream. I just completed my first liveaboard trip in Socorro Mexico and was blown away by the wildlife. 

I initially wanted to become a PADI pro to hone and expand my skillset. I was always impressed by dive guides and instructors who seemed effortless and totally "zen" in all kinds of conditions. Now that I've been assisting classes over the last year, I've really enjoyed teaching others and helping them overcome any fears or challenges. 

My wife, son and I all work in IT for the Vanguard Group and our daughter is currently enrolled at West Chester University. Also, all four of us play musical instruments. When not diving, you can usually find me performing with www.ricksofficeband.com in the Chester County area.
